Expert Help
I bring 20+ years of experience as a teacher and a sleep consultant to the support that I offer you. I am certified as a sleep consultant through the Center for Pediatric Management and have received training on all aspects of baby, toddler, and child sleep.

Liza created a plan and an approach on how to get my son sleeping independently. The Summit Slumber Perspective
It is possible for ALL babies and children to learn healthy sleep habits! There are many pieces to the puzzle when it comes to sleep. That’s why Summit Slumber has a holistic approach that takes many factors into account, including nutrition, social emotional needs, attachment, physical and cognitive development, sensory integration, and mindfulness. I believe that in the sleep learning world, there is an approach that maintains a balance between both being responsive to our children while also encouraging their independence. I also believe that there are sleep solutions to fit every parenting style and meet the needs of every family.

Meet Liza
I am the founder of Summit Slumber and a certified sleep consultant through the Center for Pediatric Sleep Management. I am a former teacher who has always had a passion for helping families and supporting children as they learn and grow. It’s always been evident to me that it takes a village to provide little ones and their parents with all the support they need!
When my daughter, my oldest child, was about 2.5 years old, sleep became more difficult than ever before. She was having all sorts of feelings, was pushing boundaries, and not sleeping well. Feeling scared to be in this new territory without knowledge of what to expect, I tried using some strategies I had used in my teaching practice that helped me to support kids when learning a new skill. I modeled expected behaviors, I guided her with daytime practice sessions, I used visual supports, and also made sure to support her social/emotional and sensory needs. IT WORKED! We addressed sleep problems together as a family, focused on building confidence around sleep, and making bedtime fun and a time for connection, and my daughter took to it so well.
I realized that the strategies I was using could be used to help ALL children with sleep, just as I had tricks and strategies up my sleeve in the classroom to help all children achieve any goal in front of them.
I had found my new passion! I became certified as a sleep consultant through the Center of Pediatric Sleep Management with the mission to get families the sleep they need by providing effective strategies, individualized support, and a child centered approach. I am trained to support infants, toddlers, and children through age 7. I also have training to provide sleep consultation for twins/multiples, neurodivergence, autism spectrum disorders, and sensory processing disorders.
