"I cannot say enough good things about Liza, I just wish I would have reached out 6 months ago. I had my reservations about sleep training but was instantly comforted by Liza’s expertise and compassion. She listened to our concerns and really created a plan with our goals in mind. She provided with options and daily check-ins and support. Our new bedtime routine is something I look forward to each night, and our little guy has slept through the night without any issues. It has honestly been the greatest investment in our son and ourselves. 10/10 recommend!!"

"Working with Liza was the best thing we could have done. We have a 3 year old little boy who has always been a great sleeper.  Starting with Liza was so amazing because she was responsive and so helpful. My husband and I would be texting her at 9 pm at night saying what our little guy was doing and she would message us back immediately with suggestions and encouragement for us. She really made it a priority to be there for us and also to get to know our little guy. She would text us every morning asking how our night went and then immediately came up with new solutions to the problems we were having. She never stopped trying to help us figure out why he didn’t want to stay in his bed. By night 6 he was sleeping in his bed all night again by himself. Our little guy was very stubborn and resistant to things as well but Liza never got worked up she just kept coming up with more solutions to try until we finally figured it out. I feel like I made a friend through this experience and am so very thankful for everything she did for our family. We are all sleeping again and it feels amazing."

"Words cannot begin to describe how thankful my family is for meeting and working with Liza. Before meeting I was up every 2 hours with my son, nursing throughout the night and only contact napping. Liza created a plan and an approach on how to get my son sleeping independently. By the end of our two weeks he was falling asleep by himself for naps in the crib and at night with only one nursing session overnight.

Liza was always available when we needed her help with adjusting our daytime schedule due to short naps, car naps or anything we ran into. When she told us how to adjust she explained her reasoning and helped me understand how to do it on my own for when she was no longer coaching us.

I cannot recommend Liza enough, she will change your life.

We now have a much happier 7 month old, I have time to myself and time to spend with my husband."

The Summit Slumber Perspective

There are many pieces to the puzzle when it comes to sleep. That’s why Summit Slumber has a holistic approach that takes many factors into account, including nutrition, social emotional needs, attachment, physical and cognitive development, sensory integration, family values/dynamics, and mindfulness. I believe that in the sleep learning world, there is an approach that maintains a balance between both being responsive to our children while also encouraging their independence. I also believe that there are sleep solutions to fit every parenting style and meet the needs of every family.   Effective sleep support isn't about rigid methods and prescriptive tactics--You deserve sleep coaching that is grounded in responsiveness and observation, and works to uncover the root causes of sleep disruptions while deepening connections with your child.

I am the founder of Summit Slumber and a certified sleep consultant through the Center for Pediatric Sleep Management. I'm a former teacher who has always had a passion for helping families and supporting children as they learn and grow. It’s always been evident to me that it takes a village to provide little ones and their parents with all the support they need!

As a mom of two, I understand how difficult sleep deprivation can be, and how challenging it can be to navigate all the sleep advice out there!  When my first child was born, I remember bringing her home from the hospital and being shocked about how hard sleep was.  When my second was born two years later, I thought I had it all figured out.  But his personality was totally different, and he exhibited symptoms of reflux and colic, and sleep was harder than ever.  I learned all I could to support him with sleep; I used hands-on settling methods, sensory strategies, improved nutrition, worked on responsive routines, and gradually encouraged independence over time.  It was an incredibly challenging time, but I was happy to find that his sleep improved greatly by the time he was 6 months old without having to sacrifice our connection or attachment, and while still honoring my parental intuition and my baby's unique personality.  The sleep we were finally getting was life changing.

I had found my new passion!  I became certified as a sleep consultant through the Center of Pediatric Sleep Management with the mission to get families the sleep they need by providing effective strategies, individualized support, and a child centered approach. I am trained to support infants, toddlers, and children through age 7. I also have training to provide sleep consultation for twins/multiples, neurodivergence, autism spectrum disorders, and sensory processing disorders.
